Hi, I’m TESS PECK.

Mission Statement

I write for people navigating life with overlapping chronic illnesses like IBS, GERD, CKD, celiac disease, and Hashimoto’s — sharing what works (and what doesn’t), plus practical strategies, recipes, and mindset tools to make daily life easier and less isolating.

About Me

I live with a full alphabet of chronic illnesses — IBS, GERD, chronic kidney disease (CKD), celiac disease, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. Any one of these can be life-disrupting on its own, but when they overlap? It’s a constant juggling act.

I started this blog because I couldn’t find much written for people like me — people balancing multiple chronic conditions that sometimes have competing needs. There are lots of resources for one illness at a time, but what about when your “safe food” for one condition triggers another? Or when the treatment for one problem makes another flare up? That’s the gap I want to fill.

Here you’ll find:

  • What works (and what doesn’t) — honest reviews of products, treatments, and routines I’ve tried.

  • Practical strategies — from meal planning to symptom tracking to navigating appointments.

  • Condition-friendly recipes — simple, everyday food that actually works for my restrictions.

  • Mindset tools — because the emotional load of chronic illness is real.

I write from lived experience, but I’m not a medical professional. Everything here is meant to share ideas and start conversations, not replace your doctor’s advice.

Beyond my health, I’m a devoted wife, a dog mom, a crockpot enthusiast, autistic, a pescatarian, a witch, and a believer in speaking out for those whose voices are dismissed. I also know the sting of medical gaslighting, fat bias, and ageism — and I refuse to let those things keep me quiet.

If you live with multiple chronic conditions, I hope this blog makes daily life a little less lonely.
